Dear Thomas,
Thank you for submitting this Db2 for z/OS enhancement request. We have reviewed this request and believe it is a good candidate for the Db2 for z/OS product. However, it does not align within functionality prioritized for delivery within the next 12 months. Therefore, unfortunately, we will not be considering this idea at this time.
We do plan to revisit this idea in the near future.
We appreciate your input to the Db2 for z/OS development team. We hope that you will continue to submit enhancement suggestions for improvements as customer feedback is a key component to shaping the future direction of Db2 for z/OS.
Sincerely,
Db2 for z/OS Team
Hello Janet,
I'm not sure I understand the question. There is no "difference". I wanted to be able to show zIIP times with EITHER normalized or un-normalized values. If you added the normalization factor to the QWAC then I could un-normalize a normalized value (or vice-versa).
Thanks.
Tom
Hello Thomas, Our SME for this component area is doing some research to see if this is viable from a Db2z perspective. Can you please let us know what is the different from our current QWAC ziip calculations?
QWACZIIP EQU *
QWACCLS1_zIIP DS CL8 /* Accumulated CPU time consumed while */
* /* executing on an IBM specialty engine in*/
* /* all environments. This value may be */
* /* 0 when QWACRINV >= 20 */
QWACCLS2_zIIP DS CL8 /* Accumulated CPU time consumed while */
* /* executing in DB2 on an IBM specialty */
* /* engine. */
QWACTRTT_zIIP DS CL8 /* Accumulated CPU time consumed executing*/
* /* triggers on the main application */
* / * execution unit on an IBM specialty */
* /* engine. */
Thank you,
Db2 for z/OS development team
