Dynamic Alter of DSSIZE to a larger value when an out of space condition is encountered for UTS PBR RPN tablespace partition.

When a DBA is alerted to a space full condition on a UTS partitioned by range tablespace that has relative page numbering then one f the DBA action is to Alter the DSSIZE of the particular partition to a higher value. This is an online and immediate change and does not invalidate any packages as well. This is one of the very useful new features in Db2 and kudos to IBM. I'm just wondering can this command not be issued by Db2 itself to avoid a -904 condition to the application. A message could be sent to the MSTR log which can be used to alert the DBAs that such an action was taken.  I do understand that the higher value of DSSIZE is a factor here as in what value to choose but RPN format does allow a lot of flexibility where it does not have to a fixed multiple of the current value.   Also the partition could be placed in advisory Reorg status to further alert the DBAs.  I do understand that the alerts could go unnoticed and the partition just keeps getting larger eventually approaching Db2 limits (in theory)

One for IBM to review.
