When executing an ALTER TABLE <table> ROTATE PARTITION please do NOT invalidate dependent packages

ALTER TABLE <table> ROTATE PARTITION is described as an ONLINE schema change. However in our 24/7 environment with tables being used frequently around the clock we cannot execute ALTER TABLE <table> ROTATE PARTITION on our most heavily used tables because this statement needs to do a break-in on all dependent packages to mark them as invalid so they can be auto rebind'ed. To avoid this problem we need to stop all the transactions systems using such a table and this causes downtime for our customers.

We would like some kind of feature for ALTER TABLE <table> ROTATE PARTITION to circumvent this problem. In our case we have a fixed number of partitions so a mechanism like what is used for ONLINE REORG to switch from one VSAM dataset to another should be possible to reuse or get ideas from.
