Status Planned for future release

DSNTIJRT need option to DISABLE GRANTs

When using DB2/RACF security you might have a requirement from your security auditors, that you don't perform any GRANT at all.

This could be a general parameter in DB2OPT or a procedure specific option GRANTTO(NONE) in CFIGIN (both in the DSNTIJRT job)
- the GRANTTO solution would obviously need to be reflected in DSNTINST.

There is no immediate need to generate RACF permit as most stored procedures are/can be covered by generic RACF profiles (which is one of the underrated benefits of DB2/RACF)

Hello Martin, Our development resource has been reassigned to an item of higher priority, therefore, this idea will be reset to Planned for future release. We will revisit this idea again early next year.

    Sincerely,

    The Db2 for z/OS Team

Hello Martin, Thank you for sharing the customer's question as to why the state is set at 'Future consideration'.

This is a state we use to indicate Db2z development has reviewed the Aha! Idea and believes it is a good candidate for inclusion in our product. However, all Aha! Ideas are further reviewed by product leadership and management to ensure the enhancement(s) align with the strategic goals they have set for the future of our product. Based on that alignment, and prioritization with other work items, the ideas may be in this state for a bit of time. If we receive approval from the leadership team, this idea state will be adjusted accordingly to indicate development has begun.

We hope this has addressed the question at hand. Please do contact us again if you have any additional questions or concerns.

    Sincerely,

    The Db2 for z/OS Team

Hello team, customer is wondering why the status is "future consideration". In the call it was mentioned by IBM that "Open AHA, we will implmenent it". Now after opening AHA, it looks like it's only part of future discussion w/o any exact timeline. Thank you.
