Enable RENAME TABLE on tables with triggers

SAP is working on enable the Zero Downtime solution (ZDO), which uses RENAME TABLE to switch between old and new table definitions, also for SAP systems that use a sidecar (SAP SLT - System Landscape Transformation). For SLT, SAP defines triggers on tables (basic triggers so far). Therefore, this request is for online enabling RENAME TABLE on tables with triggers. The triggers are expected to remain active at all times.

    Hello,

    Thank you for submitting this enhancement request. The Db2 for z/OS team re-reviewed it and determined it is not on our 12 month product roadmap, therefore, we have placed it in Not under consideration at this time. This is not to say that this enhancement may not still be implemented at some point in the future as we do evaluate our requirements on the basis of customer demand and technical impact, to deliver maximum value to our customers.

    We appreciate your input to the Db2 for z/OS development team. And we hope that you will continue to submit enhancement suggestions for improvements as customer feedback is a key component to shaping the future direction of Db2 for z/OS.
