Temporal INSERT syntax for application period temporal tables

We are using application period temporal tables with success. Application period temporal tables and syntax makes it easy to distinguish between the data values and the time dimension of the data.
When doing SELECT, UPDATE and DELETE there is a special syntax to position in time. For INSERT there is no such syntax, it looks just like any INSERT where you address the start time and end time columns directly by name.
It would make INSERT-statements much clearer if we could use syntax that is equivalent to the syntax for UPDATE and DELETE. This would also help in the future when we will have both the inclusive-exclusive and inclusive-inclusive model for application period temporal tables in our shop.
A temporal syntax for INSERT would prevent setting the wrong value for end time. In Sweden the most widely used model for describing a time period is to use inclusive-inclusive. When inserting into a table with inclusive-exclusive we have to think two times not to set an end time value that is meant to be inclusive.
Example: INSERT INTO table FOR PORTION OF BUSINESS_TIME FROM … TO … (for inclusive-exclusive) or INSERT INTO table FOR PORTION OF BUSINESS_TIME BETWEEN … AND … (for inclusive-inclusive)
