Our Security & Connectivity lead has reviewed your comment and would like to add that Java already supports using the RACF secured signon function which provides an alternative to a password called a PassTicket. Instead of having the user's clear text be maintained on the client, a RACF PassTicket can be generated by a java app and used as the user's authenticator to Db2. Thank you.
PH00335 does not cover passwords in Java commands
Our Security & Connectivity lead has re-evaluated this idea and now believes it is related to the passwords provided by Db2 CLP that runs in batch. If this is the case then this function has been shipped in APAR PH00335. Thank you.
Our Db2 for z/OS development team reviewed this request and determined it shoud be evaluated by the z/OS RACF product team. Please submit an RFE to the RACF component of z/OS. Thank you.
