Use Limitkeys as histogram-stats, if appropriate

Recently we had a Performance Problem where I was requested to collect histogram-stats for a column, which matches the partitioning column. Because this was a big table, running this runstats took about 9 hours to complete. If limitkeys could serve as historgram-stats there is no Need to collect these stats

    Hello Walter, The Db2 for z/OS SME that reviewed this idea indicated it is kind of supported. Although it is not formalized into histogram-stats, limitkeys are used as if histogram-stats when optimizer estimate and choose among different access paths. Can you please provide a comment back to us if you agree this is sufficient?
