Enhance use of Function Based Index when SQL function is used in right hand side in the predicate

    Customer complains the following in PMR 23178,057,649 that predicate "IOE-key LIKE const-EXPR" is not indexable. This is a legacy restriction not limited to IOE-keys. I believe "COL like const-EXPR" is also not indexable.

    I don't see Db2 removing this restriction anytime soon.


    select * from CUSTOMER 
    WHERE ucase(FULL_NAME, 'En_US') like ?
    is using index...

    select * from CUSTOMER
    WHERE ucase(FULL_NAME, 'En_US') like UCASE(CAST(? AS VARCHAR
    (141)) )
    is NOT using index....
