ABND=513-04 in LMOD DSNUT101 for: REORG AUX YES of a PBG TS (with LOB columns) and when STACK YES is specified for TEMPLATE

Environment: DB2 V10, data sharing, z/OS 1.13

Currently an 'ABEND513-04 in LMOD DSNUT101' can happen under the following two conditions for REORG tablespace with inline image copy generation:
.
1) REORG with parm AUX YES is set for a PBG TS with LOB columns. The associated auxilary TS is included to REORG in parallel to the base TS.
Though AUX keyword is omitted in REORG, AUX YES is used as default because of the following condition (see Utility Guide and Reference, section REORG TS, AUX YES)
"REORG TABLESPACE of a partition-by-growth base table space with one or more LOB columns, where the table space has a MAXPARTITIONS value that is greater than one. "

2) 'STACK YES' is specified in TEMPLATE statement for image copy. But image copies for the BASE and LOB tables cannot be generated in parallel and stacked on tape.

This is a known restriction that is documented in the "Utilities Guide and reference" manual (SC19-2984-13).

    Thank you for submitting this enhancement request. While we view all the enhancement requests we receive as valuable and we would like to implement all of them, in an effort to have maximum transparency we are closing the ones that don’t currently appear on our two year product roadmap. This is not to say that these enhancements may not still be implemented at some point in the future as we do evaluate our requirements on the basis of customer demand and technical impact, to deliver maximum value to our customers.


    We appreciate your input to the Db2 for z/OS development team.  And we hope that you will continue to submit enhancement suggestions for improvements as customer feedback is a key component to shaping the future direction of Db2 for z/OS.
