DB2 zOS LOAD SHRLEVEL CHANGE - provide # of rows processed

Enhancement request:

When LOAD SHRLEVEL CHANGE utility abended, DB2 should provide the number of input records processed.

Justification:

If a LOAD SHRLEVEL CHANGE utility abended and then restarted successfully, the utility will skip the processed records (committed and rejected) automatically. So, no records will be loaded twice.

For a table with no unique index, this works great if the abended utility can be restarted. Otherwise, if we rerun the utility from the beginning with no change to the input file, DB2 will re-process the records from the beginning and load the committed records again.

Ift the number of rows processed is available, we can modify the input file accordingly to remove the "processed rows" and then rerun the job from the beginning.

This enhancement request was prevously submitted under the follwoing
DCR (Design Change Request).

I was just notified that the DCR database had been closed down last year and we have to resubmit this request under RFE.

    Thank you for submitting this enhancement request. While we view all the enhancement requests we receive as valuable and we would like to implement all of them, in an effort to have maximum transparency we are closing the ones that don’t currently appear on our two year product roadmap. This is not to say that these enhancements may not still be implemented at some point in the future as we do evaluate our requirements on the basis of customer demand and technical impact, to deliver maximum value to our customers.
