Currently the two measures of average I/O delay in IFCID 199 (i.e. QW0199SV and QW0199AD) are only precise to one millisecond. We are about to move some critical Production DB2 tables and indexes to SSD (Solid State Disk), which means that these two metrics will always be zero. We use the IFCID 199 data to identify I/O and bufferpool performance issues. To this end, we need a more precise measure of average and maximum I/O elapsed time.
