Support Silent Switch Installations for DVM Studio, JDBC Drivers and ODBC Drivers

At our site users do not have the option to download and install software on their work computers unless that software has been approved and made available from an internal central software download site. Users do not have administrative rights and as such they are not able to direct where software is installed and users do not have the option to respond to prompts from installation scripts.

Instead of responding to prompts and making choices such as Global or Local installation or the directory for the installation, the Administrator needs to setup a Silent Switch command that includes all parameters such that a user clicks INSTALL to execute a single command and the installation of DVM Studio completes with no further prompts or interaction with the install script. Similarly a single command with any required parameters is needed for the installation of the JDBC and ODBC drivers.

For example, for installing the ODBC Driver, instead of executing
DVM_ODBC-3.2.266-win64.exe
we need something like: DVM_ODBC-3.2.266-win64.exe parm1 parm2 parm3

And for Studio, instead of executing setup.bat and getting prompted for further information, we need something like setup.bat parm1 parm2 parm3

For the safety, security and soundness of our computer hardware, software and networks, can DVM provide Silent Switch commands for the installation of DVM Studio, JDBC Drivers and ODBC Drivers?

The JDBC driver can be used for connecting your data analysis applications to Data Virtuality Server. Please download compatible version from the table below.

Below you find the different JDBC drivers for the different versions of Data Virtuality Server.

The ODBC driver is meant for connecting your data analysis applications to Data Virtuality Server. Please download it and follow the steps below.

For Windows users: To install the ODBC driver on Windows, download the driver, double-click the installer file and follow the wizard. The installer does not set up a Data Source Name (DSN) automatically. For creating one please consult the Administration Guide, Chapter Installation/Installing Data Virtuality ODBC (Windows). For Linux users: Please consult the Administration Guide – Chapter Installation/Installing Data Virtuality ODBC (Linux).
