Enable instances of a virtual table using a PSB/PCB using a PROCSEQ to use an alternate index (non-root)

Per IBM instances of a virtual table using a PSB/PCB using a PROCSEQ to use an alternate index are only supported for indexes on the ROOT segment.

This severely impacts performance for DVM access to IMS data which performs well via IMS using secondary indexing.

Developers are currently restructuring IMS transaction data access via DVM and cannot get data to return let alone meet reasonable performance expectations.

Usability of DVM for IMS data query is severely hampered for current projects in development without this feature.
