PCI Data Compliance

one of the things that is coming out of recent PCI reviews, is that the expectation that we can’t just rely on disk encryption to satisfy the requirements, but individual data/files need to be encrypted independently. This would obviously apply to the account field on the item table, but possibly others like user_field on the payment table, and fields in the payment_user table. Do you have any plans to support this and satisfy the PCI reqs ?

    Hello Wade,

Today, we have no plans to become "PCI compliant" as none of the payment schemes/networks we support (or plan to support) require full PCI compliance. Until now, transport layer encryption and IBM middleware encryption capabilities have been sufficient to cover FTM client needs. Can you please clarify any specific industry requirements that are behind this request, or is this more of a bank specific request? We are not saying no at this point, but of course PCI compliance is a huge endeavor, so we don't plan on implementing it outside a very compelling reason to do so. Please let us know the details.
