Automate Service Framework Task creation. Ability to export and import Service Framework Tasks definitions

Is it possible to export service framework configurations from one environment such as Dev and import those same configurations into a new environment such as SIT? The task of doing this manually from env to env is tedious and time consuming as well as error prone. Can we export from one DB and import into another DB? Are there configuration files we can simply copy from env to env so that we do not have to do these same configurations 4 or 5 different times? Is there a way to script any of this, how so? What automation options are available? What reuse options are available. Thanks for your prompt response.
