This portal is to open public enhancement requests against products and services offered by the IBM Data Platform organization. To view all of your ideas submitted to IBM, create and manage groups of Ideas, or create an idea explicitly set to be either visible by all (public) or visible only to you and IBM (private), use the IBM Unified Ideas Portal (https://ideas.ibm.com).

Scala support would be important for the data engineers who in my experience tend to prefer scala.
Hey team - just an update on this idea! Jim - many thanks for submitting this idea and Chris, Kendrick for responding and adding in additional flavor/thoughts. Incorporating a full Jupyter. We are anticipating support for and going through prototyping for the concept of environments in DSX (and JupyterLab would be one of them). This is a relatively complex requirement so will take longer to implement, but we understand our users are looking for a more powerful working space and it'll provide the capabilities that you all need to supercharge your data science projects!
If you would like to provide user feedback and participate in user research sessions for this requirement as we begin wiring/playing around, please email me — as always, feel free to direct specific questions and more private comments to me at cecelia.shao@ibm.com!
Best,

PM for DSX
This would also be complemented by https://datascix.uservoice.com/forums/387207-general/suggestions/17836447-provide-much-more-git-functionality
This would be great! And would help solve: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/41876516/how-to-supply-user-functions-modules-in-dsx
