Upgrade FileBeat instance that is installed on the Virtual Appliance and giving more configuration options

We would like to know if it could be possible to upgrade the FileBeat instance that is installed inside the Virtual Appliance of Security Verify Governance.


Our environment is a very complex one, with a lot of services that goes throught Logstash. To simplify the configuration and manteinance of the Logstash infrastructure , instead of just using IP addresses and name resolutions, Nexi makes use of the Event field parameters which allows to identify where the log must be forwarded.


The only thing configurable from the VA UI is the tag field, IP address, port and SSL flag.


Here there is an example on how the event message should be integrated inside the message we send to Logstash:


fields:


env: staging/production


sourcetype: stg_iag/prd_iag


site: any


fields_under_root: true



The question is: would it be possible to update the Filebeat instance inside the VA and provide a way to load the configuration parameters such as the event fields? The optimum would be having the UI handling it
