Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
Request for Rollup Security Updates for infoSphere DataStage
Updating InfoSphere DataStage server to keep WAS ND and WLP components, Java, DB2, etc... updated with respect to security is a nightmare. Updates are released in a confusing wave of updates, service packs, etc... Just as you create a bundled Installation that helps get the various tiers installed, please create a twice a year update process that bundles the latest security updates across all bundled products. It can identify and update installed Products on each tier. Your customers and their security departments would love you for doing this ! Understand you might not make these available for older versions, but would be great to start with 11.7 InfoSphere DataStage Server. I was searching for InfoSphere DataStage server in the list of Products, but IT was not available, so I chose InfoSphere Data Integration. Not sure if that is correct, but I trust this request can be transferred within InfoSphere group as necessary. Thanks you for your time.
