Pick Up a New Version of Job Step Automatically

The ability to configure a Job Step to automatically pick up a new version of the underlying asset.
I would like to have a setting or property available for a Job Step, where I can indicate whether I want the Job Step to automatically retrieve a new version with the indicated label whenever a new version of the underlying asset with that label is available in the repository.
If the new version of the asset requires additional configuration (such as selecting the credentials to use for a newly data source), a notification should be sent to the user, who is listed as the "Author" of the job, and the previous (working) version of the asset should be retained until the additional configuration is performed by the user.
