Save the login password in Cognos (tm1) node over multiple sessions

When using SPSS Modeler to get data from Cognos the customer would like to store the login details into the stream, preferably not on a per node basis. There stream connects multiple times to Cognos to get different sets of data. At the moment (V18) they have to enter all those credentials each time they run the stream resulting in multiple entries of the same login data.
Personally I see two solutions.
1. Store the data in to each node so when running the stream noting is asked
2. Ask for the credentials once when starting the stream and use the credentials for each and every Cognos node.

The present "save as default" option doesn't save the login details between sessions. So each new session will ask all the credentials all over again.
