IBM MDM with AWS RDS : Support SQL server on Linux

We are constantly getting a new requirement from many customers to use IBM MDM with AWS RDS Database. We would like to inquire when can IBM support support SQL server in Linux as new SQL Server ODBC connector for Linux was released in April 2020 - https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/connect/odbc/linux-mac/release-notes-odbc-sql-server-linux-mac?view=sql-server-ver15.

This would eliminate the dependency of installing MDM on only Windows if we were to use SQL server as a managed database preferred by many customers. Oracle is not an option for us due to BYOL dependency to use Enterprise Edition.

Also, can we expect MDM compatibility for any other AWS RDS databases in the future? like DB2, AWS RDS Open DB support, Postgres, MySQL.

Hi Sowjanya, we currently support Oracle RDS for clients wanting an AWS RDS implementation. Given other priorities at the moment we will look at working this (SQL Server support on Linux) into our testing cycle in 1H21. Thank you.
