Allow HTTPS calls for InfoSphere RDM to run BatchExport API

Hello all,

We use InfoSphere Master Data Management Reference Data Management Hub v11.6 to maintain the reference data across organization. And to implement automation of export we use BatchExport API. Now when we saw the API config in WebSphere console; it is referring HTTP calls to pull and push the data.

and we understand that per IBM documentation - its restriction to have HTTP call

But as per ANZ standard, We should be always using HTTPS calls.

We raised the PMR# TS003666860 <https://www.ibm.com/mysupport/5000z00001Q9WyTAAV>

Hence we need support from IBM to provide the enhance install file which makes HTTPS calls.

    Hi Mohammed,

    We understand that it's a valid requirement to allow HTTPS calls for RDM to run BatchExport APIs.

    As you are probably already aware, IBM's strategic solution for managing reference data is Watson Knowledge Catalog on the Cloud Pak for Data platform, and that's where all investment is directed toward.

    Given the current RDM architecture maturity and IBM's strategy, we are rejecting this enhancement request.

    By the way, have you explored the option of exporting from the RDM UI? Though I do understand there are differences between batch export and exporting from UI.
