Ability to Control data mapping into Read Only fields (Fields that are read only due to calculations)

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

Currently, when a field was made read only due to calculation ( ie.. Using the field in the set operation of a calculation), When we use fastmap to load data into that field, it can't be overridden. This seems to be accurate from a perspective that the purpose of making the field read only is to maintain data integrity, but to the matter of fact, there will be some use cases that will need the read only fields to be updated as per inevitable business needs. Here are couple of examples.

1. When an Issue Past Due which will be calculated based on the due dates, when this data needs to be overridden for issues based on monthly/Quarterly/Annual reviews, the fastmap is engaged to mark these as past due, However, from OP 9.0.0.3 , this read only field can't be updated using fastmap.
2. Loss Event: In any financial institutes, there will be Loss Events and underlying Impacts and Recovery loads happening recurrently, There will be some underlying Calculations to calculate Gross Loss Amounts and Net Loss Amounts based on updates to Impacts and Recoveries. When we need to adjust some of these Amounts as part of Monthly Loss reviews, since the field is read only due to calculation, we can't update the loss amounts via Fastmap.

We have certain workarounds  as you pointed in case  Case: TS018675045 , here are some limitations as  highlighted below :

1. Workaround 1 : Disable Calculations:

Limitation: Some of the companies have audit issues with changing the configuration with out a proper Change management/release cycle ( had to wait till next release cycle, some times more than a month)

2. Workaround 2 : Field Bulk Update:

Limitations:  As in the instance of Loss Amount example  quoted above, there will be 2k to 3k records that needs to be updated per month, so, FastMap will be the only viable option to process these requests on weekly and monthly basis.

Request For Enhancement:

1. Provide the option either in settings/field configuration/ view configuration/Fast map parameters etc..  to be able to update the readonly field with Fastmap.
