Objectmanager export dependencies similar to UI configuration export

When you export profiles or other artifacts from the UI (Administration/Export Configuration), the tool export all the required dependent objects automatically.

Allow similar dependency export via Object Manager

Few options.

1) The UI already has the logic to find the dependencies and call Object manager to do the export. Can we expose this via REST API/ API?

2) Enhance Objectmanager tool to enable exporting object with dependencies included. i.e if you export a specific profile, it should automatically export all the required fields/objects type, views etc ...
