IBM has considered the request. While we are aligned with the request, it is unlikely to be addressed in the next 18 months. If this request receives continued customer interest, it may be resubmitted for consideration after 18 months from the submit date.

Hi John, I think I understand what this is about. Letb me try.
The default rendering of a field of type relationship with a subdisplaytype of grid or card comes with a search bar to the left of the action button/s. In many of our implementations, the child objects do not really exceed numbers such that it will require a search function to be there. In these cases, the search bar just creates additional elements on the screen.'
An alternative can be to provide a way to toggle the search bar, and when it's invisible, the name of the field ("Issue" in the attachment) can be rendered in the same line as the action button, saving some vertical space.
