TRANS NID for spanish NIF/NIE should accept 9 characters

Spanish NIF/NIE has 9 characters so the TRANS NID function always skip the source row because it detects invalid lenght.

Verdant Moon Trello is a relatively new tool on this platform. Surprisingly, there is very little information available about this game. Therefore, game players want to know more about Verdant Moon Trello. Such as, how Verdant Moon Trello has pushed to new heights in the United States and other countries. Visit the TechRepublish LLC.

Hi Peter. Once trans nid accepts 9 characters and only returns an invalid CIF, I think it is best to manage it from support. Thanks!

Hi, just because we have beaurocrats who count how many days these Aha items stay open, I'm going to resolve this as "Not under consideration" for now. I'm checking with development to see if this is a defect vs an enhancement request. Please poke on this again if a week or so goes by and it's not updated!

    Hi Peter.

We use in Spanish three differents NID:
    NIF, NIE and CIF

I just installed OPTM-11.03.00.08-023-A-WIN64 and it seems to be fixed for NIF and NIE.

    I used TRANS NID ('SWTICH=ES,MTD=MASK,PRE=INV')

In the picture you can identify NIF's that start with a NUMBER and NIE's start with X,Y,Z.

The output value (source2) are correct in all cases. :)

But for CIF's almost of cases the value in source2 is invalid.

Thanks a lot for your attention.

    Best regards

Hi, would you please clarify the requirement for me: here is a web site in English that I can use to try to understand the requirements for NIF/NIE. It says the requirements for NIF are slightly different from NIE, and different from what this requirements you have sent says.

It says NIF has 8 numbers plus 2 letters, which is 10 characters.

It says NIE has a letter, 8 numbers, and another letter. Again that is 10 characters.

    Please see: https://www.expatica.com/es/finance/taxes/spanish-tax-number-1530721/

One other question: there is an Optim masking function called Affinity. It is also called TRANS COL ( https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/iotdm/11.3?topic=functions-trans-col-function ). Can that function be used to mask the Spanish NIF/NIE? Are there characters that should be preserved, like the letter X if it starts an NIF?
