Dear IBM Support and Product Management Team,

We would like to formally submit a Request for Enhancement (RFE) for the support of Microsoft SQL Server 2025 in IBM InfoSphere Optim.

Our organization is currently evaluating and planning the adoption of SQL Server 2025 as part of our strategic database roadmap. During our assessment, we identified that the latest version currently supported by Optim for DB Alias configuration is SQL Server 2022.

As SQL Server 2025 is becoming an important platform within our enterprise environment, the lack of support in Optim represents a limitation for future deployments and upgrade initiatives.

We kindly request that IBM consider adding support for Microsoft SQL Server 2025 in a future release, fix pack, or interim update of IBM InfoSphere Optim.

We would appreciate if you could:

  • Confirm whether an RFE for SQL Server 2025 support already exists.

  • Associate our organization with the existing RFE, if applicable.

  • Create a new RFE on our behalf if none currently exists.

  • Provide the RFE reference number for future tracking.

  • Share any available information regarding the planned certification roadmap or estimated timeframe for support.

Support for SQL Server 2025 is an important business requirement for our environment, and we believe that other Optim customers may face similar adoption needs as organizations begin upgrading from previous SQL Server versions.
