Add Rename option for Column header

Sometimes, when using PAW to create some dashboarding and reporting capabilities, we need to rename some column headers in a different way. Of course we can use aliases to give a new name to the element on that column, but as you know the aliases are unique. So we may want to use the same name (for example Outlook) across different views on that book for the columns we are retrieving (even though we retrieve a snapshot that is Jul FY22 OL or the real Current Outlook users are pulling data to). Bottom line is that a rename column option is extremely useful (same as we normally do when creating templates and reports in Perspectives/PAX, where we typically hide the column elements coming from TM1 and give a much more user friendly name). This rename option could be a view-based option (see attached image). We can also use an MDX expression like WITH MEMBER AS...but that is not ideal as it makes us edit the MDX code each time. Instead, we could use a simple step: right-click the element name and hit Rename.

Good idea and I am glad to hear that it is on the roadmap.

Promoted to existing roadmap item. Although we don't have an ETA for this feature we can confirm this is in scope for the 2023 Planning Analytics roadmap.
