Threads started by using RunProcess in a TI cannot be cancelled when using the Admin tool in Planning Analytics Workspace. We use the RunProcess to enable multi-threading of some of our load processes. We had the system go into wait mode because of a security change to a version/scenario. All of the threads went into wait mode along with two other chores. I was able to cancel the spawning process and the other two chores, but I was not able to cancel the RunProcess threads. This meant that I had to wait for all the threads to complete one at a time before the wait state cleared. I opened a support case and they confirmed that RunProcess threads are considered "system" threads and there is a limitation in the admin console to not allow you to cancel system threads.
Would it be possible to RunProcess threads to be labeled as normal threads, or at least allow the admin console to cancel RunProcess threads. This would save me time when this happens. It would also allow me to avoid a situation I had once, where I did not put an upper limit on the number of threads to start, and the dev system was overwhelmed by more threads thank processors (although I was impressed that the system stayed up, even if it took a while to clear out).

Based on a quick test we were able to confirm that threads started in chores and using the RunProcess Turbo Integrator function can be cancelled.
Please note that there many cases where threads cannot be cancelled. The thread cancellation feature is simply a request to cancel the thread. In some cases it's not possible to safely cancel a thread and rollback changes.
