Using distinct subsets and/or dimension attributes on distinct views on a same tab/book

Customer has a book with two views, one is a exploration, the other is a bar graph.

Both this views are using the same cube and dimensions. A dimension (Region) has as its names/codes values are MS1, MS2, MG1, MG2 and so on. Captions for these elements are 'Mato Grosso 1', 'Mato Grosso 2', 'Minas Gerais 1', 'Minas Gerais 2'.

He uses this dimension as a filter to both these views. On exploration view, he wants to see the full caption, I mean, he wants to see 'MS1 - Mato Grosso 1'. On the bar graph, he wants to see just MS1, as it results in much better and clean view. He then creates two subsets, one using name+captions, other with just the name.

As soon you select other values on the Region Filter, however, as the dimensions on both views are synced, both distinct subsets used on the exploration and the bar chart are lost. You have no way to show distinct subsets on distinct charts.

Customer of course wants this functionality, which looks real relevant for many others.

Thanks for your time

Promoted to future consideration on the Planning Analytics roadmap. We are already considering how to make the book synchronization model more flexible. This would include options to determine what synchronization between widgets for each dimension.
