Using EGO Audit Logs To Monitor Log On And Log Off Events At Web GUI and All REST APIs

The EGO Event Audits summarized in Table 1. EGO Event Logging Details of this URL https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/spectrum-conductor/2.4.1?topic=auditing-ego-event-audits define the EGO events that must be audited. The same URL defines the expected audit log file format. IBM Spectrum Conductor 2.4.1 is auditing not only events that are initiated at the externally exposed interfaces (Web GUI, Server CLI, and external REST API) but also interfaces exposed internal to IBM Spectrum Conductor. The Bank of America requirement is for a filter such that only the events triggered by a human at a Web GUI or Server CLI, or Bank of America machine identity at an exposed ASCD or EGO REST API. Bank of America will know that this requirement has been met when Bank of America can perform a one-to-one mapping between a Bank of America caused event (e.g., a Bank employee logging into the Web GUI) and a single timestamped entry in $EGO_TOP/audits/ego.audit.log that logs that event.
