allow update for span string after a job is started

Hello, currently, it's not possible to update the span string after a job is started. for ex: a user start a multinodes jobs using bsub .... -n x -R ".. span[ptile=y]" ... unfortunately, he forgot to specify to the tool to start in mutlinodes and the tool will use the x cores on the 1st node. because this type of jobs can run during weeks or months, if we want to correct the job resource selection , ie remove other nodes and increase slots on the 1st node using bresize, it's possible to remove slots allocated on other nodes but it's quite impossible to increase slots on the 1st node due to the span[ptile=y] statement, and it's note possible to update this span string to 'span[hosts=1]' using bmod. can you please allow bmod to update the span string ? Regards, Olivier

Due to the order in which the resreq clauses are evaluated, allowing span[] to be modified after dispatch would be problematic and lead to jobs that were impossible to suspend/resume. e.g. if a job was originally submitted with -n2 span[ptile=1] then modified to span[hosts=1] it would be impossible to resume if suspended.
There are many other edge cases that would also need to be handled to enable this. As such, this would be a very expensive idea to implement, and is not aligned with the current product investment strategy.
