Open Remote Job Consoles inoperative after PAC upgrade

Any active Remote Job Consoles are not accessible after a PAC upgrade.

We know how to clear the issue with closing the console via PAC and removing the users related information in the /pac/gui/work and /pac/gui/work.vnc directories and killing all related user processes. This however also results in the termination of any batch jobs the user has running that were tied to the Console.
So, we have to wait till any user jobs have completed and in the mean time, the user cannot check status of the job via the job console.

If there is a better way to do this, please let me know. Otherwise, we will not upgrade PAC until it is absolutely necessary.

Thank you Michael for the talk and appreciate for raising this issue to us so product team would go for an enhancement. Please help on logging the RFE ticket to officially trigger the Dev enhancement plan.
