Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
When using the PMC, loading the user information takes a very long time. We have over 25,000 users in LDAP. When using the PMC to create a new user it takes a very long time to load the user list. When adding or changing Roles for a user, it takes 20 to 30 seconds for the full list of users to load. Then scrolling through the users will be extremely slow as it has to load them view by view. Working with a user ID near the bottom of the list can take many minutes to find. In addition, the same problem will come up when adding users to a consumer. During each of these steps, the PMC will become unresponsive and take a while to start responding again. The users are not happy with this as it can take 10 to 25 minutes just to go through all the steps for adding or modifying each user.
