We are exploring ways to utilize the low-code tools available in CP4D to process the data straight from our main data source with is a Cloudera cluster. We connect to it using Apache Hive with Kerberos Credentials. Unfortunately we have seen mixed support when it comes to Hive across the services. One such thing is AutoAI.
We see the list here in the documentation: https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/cloud-paks/cp-data/5.1.x?topic=models-autoai-machine-learning. There's no Apache Hive there. This makes it so that we either have to import the data from Hive to a CP4D project before we can use it in AutoAI or somehow configure it in using Data Virtualization.
We are trying to minimize the steps when we would need to create some intermediate data assets before we make them available for processing in CP4D. With that in mind we see that enabling Apache Hive directly in AutoAI would be very beneficial to our usecases. We are less worried about the networking capability needed to access the data over the network than a possible data leakage of a misplaced data copy from Cloudera.

Adding more on the topic the same problem with the lack of integration from AutoAI to Hive is that we can't run a batch deployment that would input or output the data via the Hive connection. We would hope that the added support for Apache Hive in AutoAI would extend to the WML batch deployments of the model as well.
