Enable document URL links

When a document retrieved by web crawling is checked from the search screen, I want to enable a link to the original document from the URL in the meta information.

The customer used oneWEX before, and has been migrating to WD Premium service since June 2021. However the customer are suffering from lack of functionality in WD.

In WEX FC and oneWEX, such URLs to the original documents can be enabled as direct links, which is a very useful feature.

However, Watson Discovery does not have such a useful feature at present.

Therefore, it has a big disadvantage as a search function.

In addition, there is no advantage of the Watson Discovery, which affects whether or not the customer will continue to use it in the next year.

    Now, user can open the original URL from Content Miner.

    1. Open Content Miner

    2. Search some documents

    3. Click Show Documents link

    4. Click Customize button (Pencil icon)

    5. Select source as URL

    To preview a document, select a document on the document list. Then, Preview link will appear.

    Customers create and use Content Miner collections using web crawlers.

    Until now, when using oneWEX, they were able to follow a direct link from the Content Miner standard screen to the URL of the original document.


    The customer also understands that they can get the meta information of the URL link, but they are not supposed to create an application using the API.

    I don't understand this request. As you say, the URL is in the meta information for the document. You can get that meta information from the query API. So why can't your application provide a direct link to the original documents?
