We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
We got a special build in Case TS005866848 for resetting the fenced pool for fmp32 processes. As it now works setting the parameter fenced_pool to zero it marks all fenced processes with state 0x02000010 and then clears them out of the pool. We ne...
With DB2 Connect you can easily execute DDL from a remote workstation to create/modify existing z/OS DB Objects. However, when you need to delete and recreate tables while keeping the data (and ALTER ist not an option) it is necessary to open a TS...
ADMIN_MOVE_TABLE should immediately fail or at least warn when source table is ineligible for SWAP
Even after upgrading the database to Db2 V11.5 and beyond, older tables with check constraints and/or generated columns that were created before V9.7 will still cause the SWAP phase of ADMIN_MOVE_TABLE to fail with SQL0668N reason code 10. The und...

DB2_DMU_DEFAULT=IMPLICITLYHIDDENMISSING, if set at instance level then we should not need it to be specified again in import command just like 9.7 clients
We are facing an issue for version 11.1. FP5 where we are able to load the data into a table with a column in a table which has IMPLICITLY HIDDEN column, In the past we were able to run the import and not specified the column name and it has worke...
Allow a WHERE clause for ADMIN_MOVE_TABLE to delete data while moving a table
One of the most painful things to do is to delete a huge amount of data. One workaround for this is to export the data needed and then LOAD/REPLACE back into the same table, but this requires an outage of the table to accomplish. If a WHERE clause ...
Provide the option to exclude SELECT statements from db2audit when collecting DML data
The painful and expensive IBM recommended workaround that ended up not being feasible was to create event monitors (multiple so that records can be cleared) with WLM. However, the volume and format of output generated by the event monitors is diss...
