We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Post your ideas
Post ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,
Post an idea
Upvote ideas that matter most to you
Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
Db2 can extract z/OS - LPAR related info from RMF when ZOSMETRICS ZPARM is enabled. However for this to work in a sysplex environment it is required that EVERY member in the sysplex has the Db2 SDSNLINK library in the linklist , regardless of wheth...
Enhance the -904 REASON 00E30305 with the root cause of the failing AUTOBIND

All DB2 customers use RUNSTATS. The RUNSTATS results are used by the DB2 optimizer to determine optimal access plans. In 99.999 percent of all cases this is not a problem. However, there are some objects (tablespaces / indices) for which a RUNSTAT...
We opened a case: Contentions on SYSINDEXES during STOSPACE.The stospace on a large stogroup causes many timeouts and deadlocks on the SYSINDEXES to a JDBC application which is the most used in our center. The answer in the case is the following:"S...
Process PBG same as non-UTS Segmented When Using LISTDEF
When using LISTDEF with “PARTLEVEL 0”, partitioned by growth tablespaces which were converted from non-partitioned segmented tablespaces are no longer being considered as part of the result set. In order to maintain the same result list I would li...
Stop package invalidation after ALTER MAXPARTITIONS
These days in an agile world we have to ALTER PBG spaces on-the-fly to raise the MAXPARTITIONS value. Sadly this ALTER, even though it is an immediate ALTER, sets all dependent packages to VALID = 'N' which is, of course, a disaster.
New Authorization for SELECT all tables (DataSelect)
We use the DataAccess Auth to let Select. Insert, Update & Delete on all tables. But we'll appreciate also a new Auth for letting only Select on all tables. That's why we thought about the name DataSelect.
A number of our common customers run DB2 utilities from third party vendors and IBM replication solutions. They are requesting that our LOAD and REORG utilities write the old dictionary pages to the log for later retrieval by a replication produc...
