Ability to refresh prompts of an embedded report if dashboard filter(s) change / common prompting model

Our dashboards created for IBM sales leadership often have both native dashboard views and embedded/iframe'ed reports when it is needed for better data visualization. Embedded report prompts are hard-coded in a URL pointing to a report. If a user changes filters in a dashboard, reports do not refresh. An ask is to develop a solution to either modify report URL based on some script and/or introduce some common prompting model that a change in dashboard filters would trigger a change in embedded report(s) prompts and consequently their refresh. This solution will minimize time and manpower required to set up a dashboard for a particular persona, allow scalability and will improve user experience when all parts of a dashboard refresh with a single change in dashboard filters. End users do not always have skills and time to modify all embedded reports themselves, nor our unit (EPM and Enterprise Operations) have resources to spend material time on dashboard maintenance.

This is part of our overall strategy to improve filtering and prompting across the product. We plan to introduce the first improvements in this area later this year and building on top of that.

We are trying to be consistent with the strategy to live "on the platform" links that break constantly are a headache and a big deterrant to achieve this. A more "stable" approach is key to enable our teams to adopt all these new reports we are building in EPM for our Sales Leaders to use during reviews.
