option to upgrade reports specification automatically during an upgrade of Cognos Analytics

Upgrading report specifications never happens automatically when performing an upgrade of Cognos Analytics. We would like to have an option to automatically upgrade report specifications during an upgrade of Cognos analytics, if export/import of the Content Store is not used.


The reason report specifications are not automatically upgraded is that the client may have SDK applications that expect report specifications to be a particular version. So for a customer who does not have SDK application, we would like to have the possibility to upgrade the report specifications automatically without doing a Report Upgrade task under

'New Content Maintenance' in the Configuration/Content Administration tab of the administration console.
