Validate Reports Administratively after Model or Data Module Update

As an administrator/developer, we would like to have the ability to administratively validate/save reports after updating the source metadata model package or data module. At present, owners of reports have to be notified when a model/data module update is made and then manually open any associated reports in edit mode to allow for validation and then save the report against the updated package/data module. Developers could use this functionality to automate testing of model/data module changes in a non-Prod environment to ensure that the changes do not cause any negative impact prior to promoting the changes to production. Administrators could use this functionality in production to automate the validation and saving steps as a part of the deployment procedure and remove this responsibility from the end user. If there are issues with reports, knowing that information will allow the team to reach out to the report owner/developer so they can perform the necessary actions to address the problem. Currently, we use a third party tool to perform this action. It would be very nice to have a tool natively built into the product to ensure a stable platform.
