Cognos Analytics integration with Sharepoint

We would like IBM to take up and provide a detailed solution on how to integrate IBM Cognos Analytics 11 with SharePoint

Can you not define an email address for a share point folder and send the report output to the folder via email?

You may want to review CData Cloud Connect, which is supported as of Cognos Analytics 11.2.4 and offers support for various sources including Sharepoint, Excel Online etc.

Our initial request is to have the ability to designate a SharePoint Folder for report output. It would also be of great value to be able to select SharePoint content as a data source as part of the user experience within Cognos Analytics. Shame that SharePoint Integration is not currently available.

Same here: The main driver for us is:

"2) Be able to define a SharePoint object as a data source (e.g. Excel file stored in SharePoint or a SharePoint "list")."

The inability for Cognos to do this is one of the main drivers for our BI userbase to adopt PowerBI.

We are mostly concerned about what someone else has already stated here, this is the important piece for us.

"2) Be able to define a SharePoint object as a data source (e.g. Excel file stored in SharePoint or a SharePoint "list"). "

To be more specific, I see two types of SharePoint integration:

    1)   Be able to designate a SharePoint folder as the location for a Cognos report result.  This would be similar to how an "Archive Root" file system folder and associated sub-folders can currently be defined as a "Save to" option when running a report.

    2)  Be able to define a SharePoint object as a data source (e.g. Excel file stored in SharePoint or a SharePoint "list").

A connection to SharePoint on the cloud would be good too.  There is a document that shows how to attach from IBM but only on-prem,

    http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21962626

I contacted IBM and MS and there is currently no solutions to connecting to the cloud.  MS recommends using Power BI.
