Update 03/28/2024
Disable API Keys at platform level. - Low effort. - 5.0.x
The ability of enabling api keys for certain users. - Medium effort
The ability of setting up an expiration date. - High effort
Hello,
We have raised ticket number TS013623750 to ask about the ability of restricting access to the API Key functionality and were told to raise an AHA as there is nothing planned.
The idea behind this AHA is the requirement of being able to the control or even disable the usage of api keys. This is mainly because at the moment any user can generate one and use it forever, bypassing any UAM controls that we need to enforce (password rotation, 2FA) and other security controls.
Possible implementation:
Disable API Keys at platform level
The ability of enabling api keys for certain users
The ability of setting up an expiration date
other mechanisms()
I believe the 1st one would be easiest to implement and with the biggest impact.
Thank you

Lockheed Martin Corporation is also requesting improvements for ZenAPIKey which currently does not have an Expiration date.
Their security team is asking if the ZenAPIKey could be improved to support Expiration Date and also have Creation timestamp to allow the ability to build reports for active ZenAPIKeys in rotation which have exceeded X amount of days old (TS017141903).
We really need this in 5.0.x/5.1./x timefram.
We have noted that ING is moving out of the containerised CPD DataStage. Given this shift, we need to reassess our roadmap to ensure that it accurately reflects the current project scope and goals. Could you please confirm if we should proceed with including your epics/ideas/feature into CPD roadmap
