Manage APIs as assets in the catalog

The customer is managing its own proprietary repository of apis to various systems and databases. The content of the repository is a set of YAML files and JSON files. Those files contain metadata (I will upload to the case a sample yaml file) . The customer wants that the metadata stored in the files will go through an automated discovery process and will be incorporated into the catalog. Custom Assets require manual effort and they expect to have an automated process. They have thousands of such files. (The Swagger mentioned in the requirement is the customer's swagger that handles the yaml files)

    Would that be suitable for your use case?

    The automated discovery process in IKC focuses on structured data assets accessed through our supported connectors, plus some additional data integration and BI tools for data lineage.

    Currently, we do not plan to support automated scans of YAML and json files that represent APIs and extract metadata from those files. However, IKC provides REST APIs which can be leveraged by external apps or scripts to extract metadata from these files and add them to the catalog as custom assets.
