Most of the user want to use Linux-ARM64 dsdriver under a Linux Container on MacOS. They user db2 client to access Db2 server on IBM Cloud as BLUDB and on-premised installed on LUW system.
We want to use linux-arm64 dsdriver on containerized OS. There is no requirement for Db2 server on Linux-ARM64 yet. So, question about single node, pureScale or MPP/DPF is out of scope as on now. Requirement is for client only and mostly "IBM Data Server Driver Package" like Mac-ARM64 has dsdriver installer. Most of the user want to use dsdriver under container but few may use outside container on OS directly. Most of the users faces issues on Alpine Linux and Alma Linux with ARM64 architecture. Thanks.
We are assessing this feature request. Several comments on this Idea have made clear the need for driver support for Linux ARM64.
For completeness of information ...could you tell us more about the usecases/environments in which this feature will be most useful?
How do you deploy Db2? On-premises or Cloud environment? If on cloud, which cloud provider?
Containerized or non-containerized? Would having ARM64 Linux remove the need for container deployments of Db2 in your environment?
Single node, pureScale, or partitioned database (DPF)?
Do you HADR set up - if so, in what form?

Hi Team , We are using the DB2 CLI Driver to build C++ application- having a ARM64/Linux binary would be super helpful since on a MAC running a AMD64 binary using emulation(on a container) is slow and due to security restrictions can't be debugged. RHEL9 build would be preferable.

The development containers for services in GI are built using the Linux ARM64 architecture. Therefore, we urgently require support for the Db2 drivers on this platform.

Our development team needs the Linux ARM64 version of the IBM DB2 GO driver as urgently as possible to access DB2 from the Docker containers on their MacOS Apple Silicon chip
It requires db2client or at least IBM Data Server Driver package to be compiled for Linux OS on ARM64 processor.
IBM Data Server Driver Package - for MacOS ARM64 - is available from V12.1 onwards.
IBM Data Server Driver Package - for Linux X64 - is available since ages.
IBM Data Server Driver Package - for Linux ARM64 - not available.
dsdriver for LinuxARM64 is required to access remote Db2 server from Linux Docker container running on a MacOS Apple Silicon Chip system. Thanks.
