SQL Tuning Services - client plugin - default options dialog on "Database connection profiles"

See this idea on ideas.ibm.com

We have installed the “Db2 tuning services” on the mainframe. As client software we use the corresponding plugin in IDZ and also VS Code. If we now want to visualize the access path of a selected SQL statement, we must first define the corresponding tuning options (such as SQLID and schema).

Currently, tuning options set on the client side are always linked to the corresponding file in which the SQL statement is contained (e.g. “test.sql” or cobol source file “test2.cbl”).

If, for example, I now want to start a visual explain for an SQL statement contained in the file “test.sql” and have therefore set the relevant tuning options for this action, I must again set (often identical) tuning options again, if a different SQL statement is contained in a different source file.

In order to remain as flexible as possible, it should be possible to set default tuning options. All currently available “Database Connection Profiles” are displayed on the client. It would be good if I could set my own default tuning options for each available “Database Connection Profile” on the client. When using a “Database Connection Profile”, the corresponding default tuning options are then used if no other/own options have been set in the source file.

Without this possibility of default tuning options, I am forced to first define the tuning options for each new file with sql statements.
