We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Post your ideas
Post ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,
Post an idea
Upvote ideas that matter most to you
Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
Questionnaire Template Disclaimer and Logo customization
In 8.3 version of OpenPages, the Questionnaire Template Disclaimer text and logo are customizable and can be configured. But the fact that logo & disclaimer are shared across all templates in the system, defeats the entire purpose of the customization. If there are two teams using the system and would like to use 2 different logos or disclaimer texts for their surveys, system wouldn't allow that. Updating the disclaimer or logo or both by the second team will lead to the two (disclaimer & logo) getting updated for the first team as well.
Ideal solution to make proper use of the customizations would be to prevent the sharing of disclaimer text and logos between all Questionnaire Templates in the system. Let each Questionnaire Template use its own disclaimer text and logo to take full advantage of the new feature.
Another possible solution would be to introduce new setting (Update disclaimer/logo--True or False value) to control whether the disclaimer/logo or both can be updated or not and that setting is controlled by System Administrators. If the setting is on (set to true), then the end users can update the Disclaimer & logo and hence one standard set of disclaimer & logo will be used by all the QTs in the system and there is no danger of accidental changes to Disclaimer text or logo.
Current design doesn't serve the purpose entirely and is prone to errors and accidental updates by the Questionnaire Authors which will cause updates by one author to be leaked/visible to questionnaires for all others in the system.
Unless we add this capability to the existing disclaimer/logo features added in 8.3, no teams will be able to fully utilize the new feature.
