Request to include certain environment parameters during job submission

Currently, we are unable to submit environment parameters to a MapReduce service in the following manner:

// Set TEXTANALYTICS_HOME environment variable on each task's JVM - required by ActionAPI
conf.set ("mapreduce.map.env", "TEXTANALYTICS_HOME=" + Constants.textAnalyticsHomeDir);
conf.set ("mapreduce.reduce.env", "TEXTANALYTICS_HOME=" + Constants.textAnalyticsHomeDir);

    There is no development plan to make the changes for MapReduce support scope.

    Hello, I have an AVL customer who is still waiting on this feature to be implemented.
    Could you please provide some update about a possible target for the delivery ?

    We are initiating a CE project to complete this work outside of a normal release cycle. However, the project schedule is pending resource availability and is likely Q2 or Q3 of 2017.

    even better if you generalize the feature to allow symphony client to pass environmental variables at session creation time.
