We invite you to shape the future of IBM, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:
Post your ideas
Post ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,
Post an idea
Upvote ideas that matter most to you
Get feedback from the IBM team to refine your idea
Help IBM prioritize your ideas and requests
The IBM team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The product management team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at IBM works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.
Receive notification on the decision
Some ideas can be implemented at IBM, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.
CP4D handling of users which are no longer authorized
If a Cloud Pak for Data user is no longer able to logon (removed from a AD group that is mapped to CPD group) then the user record in "Access control" should be marked as deleted. It should no longer be possible to authorize this user to any CPD s...
The Refinery's data preview UI and the Default Catalog's data preview UI are similar, but the Refinery's UI can't see the catalog information for an item.We want CP4D to be able to refer to the catalog information of items from the Refinery data p...

Ability to determine through Monitoring whether or not sufficient resources to start an R or Notebook runtime environment are available per node
As Data Scientist I frequently need to start runtime environments. Often these are small enough and they quite naturally fit the available resources. Sometimes however, there is a very large environment needed. We would like to easily see and det...
Python packages installed by the Data Scientist are not persistently stored in the WSUSER home directory like in RStudio
When a runtime environment is stopped, the installed Python packages are also deleted. And you have to install the packages again when starting the runtime environment or after starting by Python program. This can take a long time for some package...
RStudio or Python Runtime environments are automatically restarted when memory limits are reached
RStudio or Python Runtime environments are automatically restarted when memory limits are reached without any information to the data scientist and all results are gone. A better behavior would be if the application RStudio or Jupither/lab would g...
CP4D does't use limit ranges for the analytical runtime enviroments R and Python
As an application manager for analytics, I want computer resources to be used efficiently and cost-effectively. Not using limit range on openshift means that only a few data scientists can use the system because all computer resources are immediat...
Show meaningful error message when a RStudio pod can not be startet because the system cannot request the needed resources
As a Data Scientist I frequently need to start runtime environments. Often these are small enough and they quite naturally fit the available resources. Sometimes however, there is a very large environment needed. Therefore I would like to see an m...
CP4D pods should have the dependency information for Openshift Topology view.
To support CP4D running on Openshift rapidly for customers,
we tried to understand where is the cause and which pod should stop/start
based on their dependency.
